Debut Single

Small Town Saturday Night

Out Now!

Rick Zachary

Big-city dreams and down-home living aren’t often associated together. Neither are New York and country music. However, new country artist Rick Zachary is breaking the mold by combining these two things into a new style of country music, making him an artist to be on the watch for. Rick is a homegrown genuine artist from the small farm town of Ransomville, New York. Combined, his deep northern roots and profoundly southern influences set him apart, guaranteeing all RZ Nation™ fans a fun time at his shows.

Rick is not only a musician, but a dedicated and loving dad. He shares his passion for music with his 8-year-old daughter, who wants to “be a singer like daddy” when she grows up. “Either that or a scientist,” laughs Rick. Rick’s daughter is closely involved in his music career when it comes to learning every word to his songs and even learning a few chords on her pink guitar. “Anytime we’re in the truck, she wants to listen to my music (the ones I let her listen to LOL) and will sing every word to those songs. It blows me away how much she remembers and loves music.”

Next to his daughter, his father has always been his biggest supporter. “He has always encouraged me to let music play a role in my life, however it may have looked.” His family’s long history of musical interest and talent helped this aspiring artist gain his love of music early in his childhood, just like Rick is experiencing now with his daughter.

Rick listened to oldies while riding around with his Dad, and enjoyed 80’s and 90’s pop hits with his Mom. His grandfather was a trombone player in several bands during the Big Band era, and his cousin tours around the country as a bass player in several bands. Even with all the music that runs in his family, Rick did not pursue this dream until he got his first guitar on his birthday in 2009, a Taylor 110C. This blue-eyed country musician began his career by covering his favorite hits and releasing them on YouTube.

However, his trajectory came to a halt in 2015 when Rick was hit by a drunk driver that resulted in a spinal fracture and a long road to recovery. After multiple doctor visits and enduring weeks of pain, Rick looked to music to help pass the time. He kept practicing the guitar which resulted in him learning to write songs. Eventually, Rick bounced back and sang at an open mic night, where he discovered his love of performing and playing music for others, and has been writing ever since, eventually recording his first LP in 2024 that is slated to be released in 1Q 2025. Since then, he has played numerous fairs, festivals and venues and built a solid social media fan base, consisting of over 30K just on TikTok. “I remember during Covid, I went live on TikTok regularly, playing music, chatting and hanging with my fans.” Since then, Rick has gained fans all over the world with his talent alongside his authentic, relatable demeanor.

Drawing inspiration from artists including Cody Johnson, Garth Brooks, Jon Bon Jovi, Randy Rogers, Canadian rock band The Tragically Hip and more, Rick’s music can be described as upbeat, fun style Country/Rock, writing songs about life, his youth, good times, and even some girl power! Rick describes his story-telling lyrics largely wholesome and thought provoking, but at times a little provocative, he says with a chuckle. This promising new country artist is often inspired by spur of the moment thoughts that pop into his head, which leads him to create descriptive and symbolic songs that stand out.

With the help of SEGNO Records President Steve Dillon, and recording studio owner and drummer Jack Gavin (Charlie Daniels, Tracy Lawrence, Tanya Tucker) and Grammy nominated producer Kent Wells, Rick’s music is the perfect mix of commercially driven sounds with very descriptive lyrics, proving to country fans and the music industry that RZ Nation™ is here to stay.

Ricks music is not only about him, but the impact he hopes his music will have on his audience. “No downer music, I want my music to put people in a good mood. [I hope] that my music can take people to a fun place or memory in time. Recently signed to SEGNO Records, Rick has made the move to Nashville to make his dream a reality. With his down-to-earth personality and goals and dreams of becoming a household name and providing for his family, “I’m very excited to begin this next chapter of my life.” Continuously working on new music whether it be in the studio laying down vocals, performing, writing, or networking with other songwriters, Rick is solidifying his place as a songwriter, an artist and a performer and is on the right path to becoming the next one to watch in country music.
